Jesper Orth won the DA KINE CLASSIC 2002 on a production Starboard

The DA KINE CLASSIC is an event on Maui, in the still strong running and prestigious Maui Race Series. Jesper Orth has been using his Sonic W-55 for the whole season in Western Australia with impressive results, and is still going strong in the Maui Race Series, by winning the DA KINE CLASSIC 2002 this summer.

"The Maui Race Series is so much fun, really intense full downwind racing, that put your nerves and skills to the max. Everybody is on top tuned gear, and you have to work hard to stay on the podium" --Says Jesper stoked with his result.

The 2003 Sonic Slalom boards range, keeps the same successful outline, witch has proven itself through the years, to be really fast and easy to sail. The latest fine tuning of the nose section will add even more control and a few more knots on the water.

" I would be happy to see more slalom around, besides here on Maui and in Western Australia. When it comes to racing it's still the most intense fun I can imagine. The whole new idea with the Hyper Sonic, makes me believe in more slalom around the world, even in marginal conditions with up to 10 m2. We all know the difficulties trying to slow down and cut around a mark, or the pain trying to lay the marks with very limited upwind ability. Those factors are close to eliminated with the new thinking and shape of the Hyper Sonic. I tried it out and tested it in WA and Maui and I cant wait to get my feet's on one again" - Says a very excited Jesper Orth.
