2002 FW Women Cup constists of 7 FW major events that will produce points to annual ranking. This limitation of events will increase the number of competing women per event. We strongly advise that you choose the following events when making your racing plans. As a result we'll achieve a minimum of 15 to 20 women participating at each of the events in 2002, double the number of female competitors in the annual ranking list and promote women windsurfing around the World. It might be striking for some of you that all of the chosen events are held in Europe. However so far we have not gotten enough attention of organizers from other parts of the World. There are exceptions though and some events outside Europe that are not included in the official tour will get promotion through this site as we belive and have strong hope to include them in World Cup in coming future.

14-18 August - Women Cup Silvaplana, Switzerland

Last year's racing in Silvaplana was a highlight of Euro Cup series. Dynamic competition just few meters away from spectators with 16 knots of wind and incredible scenery of glittering green waters produced one of the most excting show ever. Close distance in points in both women and men fleet again proved racing to be one of the most interesting aspect of windsurfing. Silvaplana is something to be experienced in a life time. One day you gotta see it. Make sure to arrive at least 24 hours before racing starts and get a good night sleep. You need to be in good shape for racing at high attitude (more than 2000m). We didn't know that exactly last year… Read Dorota's report.
